Chapter 9 - Connection

Another movie I have not seen, but have heard of is "Inception". This chapter reminds me of that movie because I know that the movie talks about dreams meshing in with reality and then characters can't tell the difference any longer. This is similar to chapter nine because Billy is questioning if the affair with Montana Wildhack was a dream or reality.

  1. I agree with Cameron's point about the relationship with the movie Inception and I talked about it in one of my blog posts. The end of the book leaves the reader wondering whether Billy Pilgrim is living in reality. Also, Inception questions whether the main character is still in a dream or in reality.

  2. Compared with the movie Inception, I agree that the movie and the storyline have similar confusing plots. Throughout the movie and the book, there is incessant switching from year to year, and in the movie's case, dream to dream. The book and the movie both keep the reader, or viewer, on their feet and befuddled.

  3. This is an interesting comparison to make. I agree that the book leaves you wondering whether Billy was actually traveling in time or if he was just slowly losing his mind. I can also see how Billy becoming "unstuck" in time is similar to the characters in Inception traveling deeper into a person's subconscious and losing track of reality.
